Katrina Mickey,
Case Manager

A case manager’s primary job is to make sure you are comfortable with your progress.  She makes sure the documents you complete are prepared so you appear in the most favorable light possible.  She cannot fill out the forms for you, but she can review what you have written and make suggestions so you express what you really mean.

For example, one question that might be asked: Can you cook?  If you say “yes,” it may be interpreted to mean you can do it 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week and are not disabled.  If you say “no” it may be interpreted to mean you are exaggerating and have no credibility.

Katrina will help you answer that question and others like it to prevent the Social Security Agency from skewing the meaning of your words.
